Barbara ‘Gladys’ Jamieson – died 5 February 1951
Henry Jamieson – died 9 September 1978

Henry was born 6 April 1897.  He was possibly not born in NZ.

It is most likely that Henry married Barbara Wilhemina Tinnock in 1925.  Barbara Tinnock was born in 1902 to Eliza and Andrew Tinnock.  Barbara was a twin.  Her twin was Margaret Irene Tinnock.  I have been unable to validate this information, though.

Henry worked for NZ Railways as a fireman and later an engine driver.  The family resided at 18 Liffey Street, Bluff.  Henry lived in Liffey Street according to the 1925 roll but was not in the Awarua electorate prior to that in 1922.  Gladys and Henry appear on their own from the 1928 roll, up to and including, the 1949 roll.  The 1954 electoral roll has Elaine Merle Jamieson at 18 Liffey Street with them.  By 1957, Jean Menzies Jamieson is also at that address.  Jean Menzies Jamieson is described as a widow in Awarua in the 1938 electoral roll.  Jean  was born in 1907 and died in 2001.  Jean Menzies mother had the same name.  She died in 1939 according to NZ BDM.

Henry’s probate is held in the Dunedin office of Archives NZ if anyone is wanting more information (Reference no. R22100345).
