Elizabeth Caroline Scott – died 25 April 1902
Andrew Scott – died 23 July 1906
Elizabeth Caroline Cleave and Andrew Scott were married in England in 1865.
They were in England in 1871 with two children
And still there, farming, in 1881 but now have five children
Mother and son are on the Supplementary electoral roll in Awarua for 1894. Andrew is not there, though.
In 1896, they were hotelkeepers in Bluff. Their son Robert is a barman.
By 1897, Robert Thomas Cleave is no longer on the Awarua roll. He died in 1934 at 63.
In 1903 the Club Hotel and surrounding block were destroyed by fire. Andrew Scott owned Boconnoc(e?) House which was destroyed.
It is interesting to note the name of the parish where Elizabeth grew up in Cornwall.
